Chidambaram Annamalai University has been inspected by the NAC Committee during the month of November 2014. A panel of 13 members under the leadership of the former Vice chancellor Mr. Shetti performed a through perusal of the various departments and they also met different lecturers and the students for the preparation of the report.
It has been officially informed by the NAC Committee that the Annamalai University has been credited with “A” grade. All the teaching and non-teaching faculty members and the student community are all very much pleased with this news.
In India altogether 700 Universities and colleges have been inspected by the NAC Committee and only 42 Universities and colleges are credited with “A” grade.
